Thermogravimetric Analysis and Differential Thermal Analysis System (TGA-DTA)

A sample mass in atmosphere controlled in thermogravimetric analysis is recorded as temperature and time function against temperature (linearly with time). Graphic of mass and mass percent against time, temperature and changes in atmosphere is called as thermo gram or thermal degradation. Thermogravimetric methods are used for transactions such as vaporization, sublimation and desorption largely with reactions of degradation and oxidation because temperature change causes alteration in sample mass.
