The device provides high efficiency in the detection of Nal(Tl) gamma rays and the iodure with high atomic number inside the gamma crystals. A gamma ray interacting with scintillator produces a light pulse that can be turned into electricity pulse via a photomultiplier tube. Nal(Tl) Scintillation detectors interacting with a gamma ray scintillator produce a light pulse that can be changed into electric pulse by a photomultiplier tube. A photo multiplying photo cathode consists of a focusing electrode and 10 or more dynodes that multiply with the collision of the electrons.
